Draw the Profile
Click-and-drag half-profile editor with fraction snap — the bowl, the rings and the cut list all follow your curve live.
Segment-Face Pattern Editor
Draw inlay patterns on a 1/16" grid with shapes, lines and your own dimensions. Assign a pattern to any ring. Also in the browser app.
Live 3D Preview
Orbit the finished bowl with brick-staggered joints and per-ring wood tones, exactly as it will glue up.
Full Cut List
Miter angles, segment and strip lengths, board feet per ring and totals. Per-ring segment counts. Export the chart as a PDF.

Print a scale model of the bowl before you cut a single board — slicer-ready, millimetres, flat on the bed.

Your browser and Windows will both warn you. Both are expected.
Segmented Bowl Designer is made by one person, not a large software company. Windows and web browsers judge software by how many people have downloaded it, and this app is new — so neither recognises it yet.
When you download it. Your browser may say the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”, and it can look as though the download failed. It hasn’t. Open your browser’s downloads list, find the file, and choose Keep.
When you run it. The first time you open the installer, Windows shows a blue screen saying “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. That is all there is to it.
Neither warning means there is anything wrong with the file. Both are about the app being new and unrecognised, and they go away as more woodturners download it.
