Precision tools, built by a drafter
AutoCAD area-closure checks for land surveyors · lot checks for home buyers · 3D segmented-bowl design for woodturners — from 35 years of drafting.
Acheck
Area closure checking inside AutoCAD & Civil 3D, as a Windows program without it, or online in your browser
- Live misclosure, precision ratio and area as you enter courses
- One-click toggle between quadrant bearings and azimuths
- Professional closure report PDF and parcel summary tables
- AutoCAD & Civil 3D 2023–2027, dockable palette editor
Parcel Check
Check the dimensions on your existing deed or survey plan — before you buy
- Type the bearings and distances off the deed or survey — the lot draws itself
- Exact area in metres² and hectares, or feet² and acres
- Misclosure and precision ratio — the same check land surveyors run
- Printable report with a labelled sketch to hold beside the plan
- Or send us your own survey and we compare it against the deed by hand
Segmented Bowl Designer
Design segmented wood bowls in 3D — online in your browser or one-time Windows download
- Draw the bowl profile, watch the 3D bowl and ring stack update live
- Wood species per ring, two-colour segment patterns, ring rotation
- Full cut list: miter angles, segment lengths, strip lengths, board feet
- Export an STL for 3D printing — nothing to install
I’ve spent 35 years at the drafting board — surveys, land development, Civil 3D — as a CAD specialist in Ontario. Acheck came out of that: I got tired of checking parcel closures the slow way, so I built the check I wanted, right inside AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Segmented Bowl Designer came off my own lathe — I turn segmented bowls, and I wanted the ring counts, miter angles and cut list right before I glued anything up.
These are the tools I use myself. If they save you a re-check or a wasted blank, that’s the whole point.
