Segmented Bowl Designer

0.4.27 August 2026Current
  • The drop-in lid is now shaped like the solid lid, so the two match.
  • The drop-in lid gets its own board in the cut list, and staves are billed as blocks.
  • The rim is squared off level, like the base.
  • A lid is no longer bored for a finial that is not fitted.
  • Stacked lid points can no longer pile up on one spot, and older saved designs are repaired when opened.
0.4.17 August 2026
  • Stave bowls can now be given a lid.
  • Only one lid per bowl: the parted and drop-in lids are now exclusive.
  • The finial's hole goes right through the lid.
  • The tenon follows the lid's thickness, not the bowl's wall.
  • Dialogs float instead of blocking the rest of the app.
0.4.05 August 2026
  • Motif fill: build a whole segment map from one repeating motif.
  • Guide updated to explain it.

  • Step (rabbet) joint for the ring-stack lid.
0.2.830 July 2026
